I did the engagement session for Lisa and Igor not too long ago. They both thanked me for making them feel comfortable in front of the camera together prior to their wedding. All of my packages include an engagement session because of this reason. The last thing I want my couple’s to be is more stressed because of me. That candid connection in front of my camera is what makes wedding photography so special to me.
I introduced Lisa to Pinterest when we first talked about wedding plans. If you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet, hop to it. It’s the greatest thing since TiVo. Had it been around when I got married, it would have saved me from lugging around a huge folder filled with wedding magazine tear-outs for six months.
As Lisa and Igor’s wedding got closer, I loved seeing all the ideas Lisa was pinning and couldn’t wait to see them displayed at her wedding.
Her dessert table was filled with vintage inspired plates and decor, the guest tables were named after the couple’s favorite songs, and mason jars filled with beautiful flowers were placed along the ceremony aisle. It was such a personal, lovely wedding, with so many great details.
After the ceremony, I watched as Lisa and Igor walked through the reception area before anyone else did. They were so happy. Lisa was smiling from ear to ear as all her hard work for the past year finally paid off.
I captured it all. I got shots of every last detail. Brides work so hard; I know how important it is to capture everything.
It was a beautiful balmy night. Right before dinner I grabbed the newlyweds and got a few quick shots as the sun was setting.
Then dinner was served, toasts were made and the real celebration began. Igor showed his moves on the dance floor as the guests gathered around in a circle. I’m sure not one person can say he didn’t have a blast at this wedding!
Lisa and Igor chose to do the First Look and see each other privately prior to the ceremony.
They laughed, they cried, and they got all the nervousness out of the way.
The bouquet was stunning. You can never go wrong with peonies.
here comes the bride…
When the priest said, “You may now kiss the bride…“, the best man gave Igor mouth spray – it was hilarious!
Igor and Lisa are huge King’s fans. That night was the playoff’s, so they came in swinging King’s gear and pumping up the guests.
This couple knows how to have a GOOD time lemme tell ya.
and they walked off into the sunset….
